New! Website for R. Jorgensen Antiques
PORTSMOUTH, New Hampshire (June 9, 2006)– Primal Media is pleased to announce the launch of a new database-driven website for R. Jorgensen Antiques, purveyors of fine period antiques.
A Tradition of Excellence
For over 30 years, R. Jorgensen Antiques' beautiful historical house and grounds in Wells, Maine have served as an elegant showcase for the company's vast collection of British and American antiques. Here the friendly, experienced people of R. Jorgensen have welcomed visitors, pointing out pieces of interest and sharing their love and knowledge of fine period antiques.
R. Jorgensen Antiques wanted to bring this collection online so that antiques buyers and interior decorators could have access to their collection. After some considerable time developing an online database with another company that failed to work as needed, R. Jorgensen Antiques turned to Primal Media for help.
Bringing The Showroom Online
Working with R. Jorgensen, we created an elegant, easy-to-navigate website that is rich in tone, bringing the showroom ambiance and vast antiques collection alive for online visitors.

In addition, we developed a well-thought-out database to logically structure the inventory and allow for easy content updates by R. Jorgensen staff. The final result is a refined online experience custom-tailored for discerning antiques buyers and interior designers.
“We are thrilled with the way the site works and how it all came together,” says owner Ric Jorgensen of working with Primal Media. “If we knew then what we know now, we would have started with you!” added owner Pam Jorgensen.
The website was developed using standards-compatible XHTML/CSS, Flash, and JavaScript with a Perl database for simple browser-based administration of the inventory. A special Private List feature allows visitors to create password protected lists of antiques to view later or purchase at the Wells, ME showroom.
